Rover Alert (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a mobile application that
helps users and animal shelters send and receive alerts about lost pets.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains
how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Rover Alert
mobile app (“the App”).
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in
accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect

Alert Messages: When you send an alert, we collect the
alert text you submit.

Optional Account Info (if implemented later): Name,
email, or organization when provided by you.
1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Device Push Notification Token: Used solely to send
lost pet alerts to your device. We do not sell or share these tokens
with third parties. Tokens are deleted when you uninstall the app or opt
out of notifications.

Log Data: We may collect basic technical information
(device type, OS version, IP address) for app diagnostics and security.

Location Data (Optional): If you enable location
permissions, we may use approximate or precise location to show alerts
relevant to your area and allow shelters to coordinate volunteer
activity. Location data is never sold and is only used to operate the
app’s core functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:
- Deliver push notifications about lost or found pets
- Register your device to receive alerts
- Improve app performance and reliability
- Protect against fraud, spam, and abuse
- Contact you about important app updates, if permitted
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
3. How We Share Information

Push notification tokens are retained only while you have the app
installed or notifications enabled.

shelter operations.

You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
5. Your Choices
Notifications
You may enable or disable notifications at any time through your device
settings.
Location Services
Location access is optional. You may revoke location permissions at any
time.
Data Access & Deletion
You may request access to the information we store or correction/deletion
of your information.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If we discover such
information, we will delete it immediately.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your
information. No system is 100% secure, but we take data protection
seriously and continually improve our safeguards.
8. International Users
If you use the App outside the United States, you consent to processing in
the U.S. where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users
of significant changes via the App or website.
